Borefüge is a family-owned business founded from its sister company: Attelage de la Lièvre.
After several years of offering dog sledding tours to local and international tourists, owner Jason Baril decided to enhance the experience by combining the traditional winter activity with unique lodging.
It was in July 2019 the first guest of Borefüge enjoyed the unique experience of staying in the Yurt du Rocher!
Six years later, four yurts are available for rent and an A-Frame tent is under construction. No longer enjoying the winters of yesteryear, Attelage de la Lièvre closed its doors in 2024, however, the adventure continues as Borefüge's expands it tourism experience with its traditional yurts, A-Frame tent, prospector's tent, suspended tent, NordTent , and scenic tourist campsites.

Being travel and adventure fanatics ourselves with our loyal canine companion, it was unthinkable for us not to accept dogs in our accommodations!
Housekeeping is done thoroughly to ensure our future guests are not inconvenienced by our hairy clients!
With the goal of providing a pleasant, easy, and worry-free experience, all shelters are equipped with cooking essentials. All you need to bring is food, bedding, and drinking water.
The shelters are also a good distance from each other to give you all the privacy you are looking for when escaping the city!
